Christmas In Heaven

DEAR BONNIE: This time of the year is so hard. Missing someone in Heaven has me in so much pain. I do not feel like celebrating Christmas or even putting up a tree. I do not know how others deal with not having that special person with you to celebrate, but I keep crying. Can you offer some insight that might help me and others missing their loved ones this year? Thanks, Charlotte

DEAR CHARLOTTE: As a full-time medium giving messages from Heaven, I recognize that this time of year is the hardest for many.

Last week, a woman came in wanting to speak to her mother, who had passed away less than a month ago. As I started to connect with her mom in spirit, her mom brought me through a sad scene, sending me pictures in my mind of her daughter’s bare Christmas tree.

As I relayed what I was being shown to the daughter, the daughter started to cry. She told me she put up the tree but was not able to decorate it because of the pain she was feeling with the loss of her mother. The tree had been sitting there bare.

Then, the mom in spirit showed me her daughter’s hand holding an ornament that was special because it was in honor of her mom. As I relayed the message the daughter got a big smile on her face, as she told me, “My mom’s got it right, my friends came over and decorated the tree because I was unable to do it.” And, in the end, the daughter had placed the last ornament on the tree in honor of her mom. That ornament said “MOM” on it.

You see, your loved ones on the other side see everything. They know your thoughts, wishes, and how you miss and honor them. This message came to a daughter from her mom that needed her to know she was right there watching her daughter and looking out for her. It’s OK to be happy and it’s OK to be sad at Christmas. Your loved ones want you to know they know you miss them, and they miss you too. That night, in my dream time, I heard this poem:

I know you are missing me. I know I miss you too. When you think of me this Christmas, I’ll be thinking of you, too.

I know it won’t be easy. I see your tears. I know it won’t be quite the same as all the other years.

When you think of me this Christmas, you honor all our love. All the years of joy and fun can never be undone.

Nothing can break the bond of love that we have for each other. For I am not really gone, but we still have each other.

When you think of me this Christmas, try to remember stories of Christmas past.

Don’t be afraid to giggle or laugh at memories gone by. Those are the ties that hold us close, and I am always by your side.

Merry Christmas, everyone — I love you all!

My hope is this helps make Christmas a little easier.
